Current Projects/Progress
Check out the "guitars" page, as the new Ellipsis model is finally up. The Masai is almost finished and will be really exciting when it's all done. I consider it to be the bigger brother of the Aesir; more strings, sharper edges, longer neck and a wider frame. We are finishing up another custom, and slowly getting more media up on the site. Keep checking in!
Although it has been awhile since the last post, we have been very busy. We are finishing up a long-term custom build (a 27-fret J-bass with a cocobolo fretboard). As soon as the finish has dried it will be up in the custom gallery, as well as a photo album of the build process. As we finish some of the more unusual instruments we are going to try to have both finished photos and in-progress pictures to show how it all comes together. We are also very excited to start shooting demo videos of the finished guitars, both standard and custom models.
In September we will be putting the finishing touches on our 3rd neck-thru standard model, the Masai. It is a fanned-fret 8-string with a figured ebony top, solid ebony neck, alder back and bloodwood fretboard. Although I tend to be more of a fan of passive pickups, this one will be outfitted with a set of EMG 808s because of their very even string response. As with the other standard models, the Masai will be shown with a number of optional features such as the wood choice and multi-scale design. The actual standard will still be an 8 string, but with a solid maple body, ebony fretboard and straight frets. Keep checking in because we will have pictures up as soon as they are done!
